Bristol Dirt Race Notes

Noah Gragson started second and led 75 laps before spinning in Turn 3 on lap 116. TeammateJustin Allgaier finished second, giving JR Motorsports a 1-2 finish in the Food City Dirt Race for two consecutive years. Kyle Larson was leading on the final lap when Chase Briscoe spun in front of him, triggering 11 cautions and a red flag. Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar, and Harrison Burton made up the rest of the top five.

Camping World Truck Series (CWTS)

Fourteen-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner Kyle Busch made his first Truck Series start since 2019 and led the first 17 laps of the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt. Hailie Deegan finished 14th, earning her first top-15 in her first Truck Series race on dirt. She was running 12th when she spun late and dropped down to 18th before battling back to 14th. Stewart Friesen led 116 laps en route to his series-leading third victory of the season.

ARCA Menards Series East

Nick Sanchez made it back-to-back wins in the ARCA Menards Series East on dirt by leading the final 24 laps to win the General Tire 150 at Bristol Motor Speedway. He previously won on dirt at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in 2021. With his win on Sunday, he became the first Mexican-born driver to win on dirt in one of NASCAR’s top three divisions.

Schedule for Next Week

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series will be at Martinsville Speedway next weekend, April 9-10, while the Camping World Truck Series will be at Richmond Raceway.
